6) Something meaningful - [media - chalk pastel. 2010]i love the quote..love the song..and i couldn’t not want to draw whenever i played it back (Kanye West- Dark Fantasy). I think this quote will forever remain one of the most meaningful to me because like all of us at all different times of our lives, should and will experience hardships…and have to dig deep inside to do just that, re-spark something inside of ourselves, and rebuild the energy to continue pressing forward.View full size

I absolutely love the way this turned out. This is not the most creative piece from me though bc I didn’t pick and choose the colors like my other ones. I had a regular photo, used an app to edit it which applied this color affect to it. I really appreciate the whole process of this one though bc it helped me understand how colors work with e/o a little more which is something i still struggle with a bit. So getting the placement of colors right and deciding how to define the change in form via shadows and highlights but still keeping hard color lines was by biggest task. [Quick sketch. Idea for a t-shirt logo for an all girls mentoring group] One of my clients asked me take part in the mentoring and also design the logo. Clearly lots more work to do on the lettering!
